Kathleen Hannah is a famous feminist punk rock singer who was the lead singer of Bikini Kill based in Olympia, Washington in the early mid-1990s. After departing from the band Bikini Kill she has been in bands such as Le Tigre and The Julie Ruin. A fun fact about Kathleen Hannah is that she was friends with Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of a famous band called Nirvana. One of the songs that were made by Cobain and his band, “Smells like Teen Spirit” sprang out of what Kathleen Hannah had spray painted on the side of Cobain’s apartment.
Kathleen Hannah did a book tour Across the US about her new memoir called Rebel Girl: My Life As A Feminist Punk. Her last tour date was at Uncle Bobbie’s Cafe in Philadelphia, PA.
