FLC staff deliver letter to 440

The following letter was delivered by the staff of Franklin Learning Center to James Creedon, Interim Chief of Facilities Management and Capital Projects for the School District of Philadelphia. The letter is in response to the recent decision by the School District of Philadelphia to close FLC through at least January 1, 2020, due to damaged asbestos in the ventilation system.

The letter has since been published as a petition and gathered more than 500 signatures in the first 5 hours.

Thank you all so much for this letter. I am anxious to learn more about how to support these efforts and outreach to make our school building safe.
